Mutangent are a determined and driven four-piece heavy metal band based in Auckland, NZ. Their sound is unique and crushing -- fusing melody and brutality, to produce a powerful, passionate and progressive wall of sound. Charging rhythms, epic solos and gut wrenching screams fill the album with undeniable emotion. Mutangent are a band that prides themselves on their live performance blasting an infinite array of dynamics, feel changes and raw power. Mutangent's debut album, 'Final Fester' is the result of over 4 years work and 11 months recording. While recording the track "Rocket Pig", Mutangent collaborated with accomplished NZ musician Laughton Kora to produce a song that is a unique blend of genres sure to stir up the NZ music scene. Three of the four-piece band met while studying music at MAINZ, their passion for metal bringing them together. Richie who also recorded, produced and mixed Kora's debut album came to record 'Final Fester' through family ties.
