Sustainability Sutra addresses the pursuit of sustainability as crucial in the transformation from as industrial to an ecological civilization. Sustainability Sutra explores in succinct detail how this can be accomplished through an ecological global growth strategy that makes economic growth mean ecological improvement. Sustainability Sutra is a meditative journey of self-discovery. It is a path and record of a writer's and reader's heart way. The book includes an Introduction that considers the dynamics of building an ecological future in market economies and examines how the price system can send clear signals for sustainability. Combining ecological consumption taxation, new market rules, fiscal, monetary and investment can catalyze the trillions of dollars of productive investment in a sustainable future. Sustainability Sutra is not a dry economists tome. By using the condensed and aphoristic Sutra form, Sustainability Sutra provocatively addresses the way of moving from an afflicted present to a prosperous and sustainable future. Each sutra section is introduced by one of 27 focused essays examining specific aspects of the pursuit of sustainability. Sustainability Sutra work is a challenge who believe neither markets nor capitalism nor economic growth, under any circumstances, is capable of leading to ecological improvement. Sustainability Sutra examines how this pox on all economic growth is a category error, confusing polluting business as usual with sustainable monetary growth and the regeneration of natural capital within an ecological market governed by an industrial ecology aspiring to a zero pollution zero waste world. Sustainability Sutra addresses the economic, political, social, technical and philosophical dynamics of the pursuit of sustainability and building the path to an ecological future as we travel.Author BiographyRoy Morrison is a writer and energy consultant with over 30 years of diverse experience.
