High Altitude Heavy Hitter A reproduction of the original 1973 kit, this faithful re-issue is marked with a sequence number defining it as one of a strict limited edition. The aircraft inside was produced by Junkers in the thirties. Intended for use as both a bomber and an airliner, it served in the Spanish Civil War and WWII. Low bomb load hampered the effectiveness of the Ju 86 and by 1943 British high-altitude fighters were taking a toll of the type. It was withdrawn from frontline service that year.
