Trucked Motor Platoon After the defeat at Gazala some Motor Battalions were reorganised to use two 3-ton lorries rather than four small 15 cwt trucks. This reduced the amount of petrol and other supplies (not to mention drivers and mechanics) needed to keep the battalion in battle.
