Each player tries to place all their coloured pieces on the board first, but the twist is that they must touch at least one piece of the same colour only at the corners though. As the game progresses, players will find themselves blocked in and unable to place any more pieces. Blokus ends when all players are blocked from laying down any more of their pieces.
