After leaving school she enrolled on a fashion design course, then studied set, costume and prop design. Alongside studying at university she took a correspondence course to learn editorial skills. After making and writing up projects for practical craft magazines, Rebecca secured her dream job working as a commissioning editor for Love Sewing Australia, in which she commissions and makes projects and writes about her favourite craft.
