Gina Caldwell-Murphy is told by doctors that she was a victim of a terrible automobile accident, which resulted in her being in a coma for two years. She believes herself to be a 54-year-old married woman, the mother of four children, and crippled with rheumatoid arthritis. Her high school sweetheart now claims to be her husband. He and the doctors tell Gina that she is only 24-years-old. They explain to her that the family she thought she was part of never really existed; it was all a coma-induced fantasy.
