Our straight-bladed tubular unicrown fork is significantly lighter than most suspension forks offering more responsive steering and an easier to lift-up-the-dorm-stairs bike.   XR's 21-speed SRAM twist-shift drivetrain shifts intuitively and smoothly. With 3 chainrings up front and a 13-28T indexed freewheel in back steep hills are flattened and fun.   Every Trail XR offers quick release front & rear wheels and a quick release saddle assembly to make transport storage or locking up a snap.   That long-quilled hi-rise stem positions the XR riser handlebar higher than on our other Trail series bikes with threadless steering systems for a more propped-up less-weight-on-the-wrists riding position.   There's lots of lightweight rust-proof alloy parts on the XR -- micro-adjust seat post crank seat post clamp rims and brakes -- that make riding more pleasurable & maintenance easier.
