His cafe and his recipes are one of the restaurants featured in "The Southern Foodie: 100 Places To Eat in the South Before You Die" by Food Blogger and Author Chris Chamberlain. "Chef," as he is called by the locals, has the unique distinction of being a Professional Chef who has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Health Science and a certificate to teach as well. Chef received additional education in Holistic Health and Nutrition from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, is also credentialed as a Sports Nutrition Specialist by the American Academy of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists, is a partner with the USDA Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion and partnered with the American Heart Association. His distinctive urban flair on southern cuisine, giving it a healthy urban twist, has earned him local and national awards.
