Dum Dum Girls’ full‐length follow up to 2011's Only in Dreams and last year's strong End of Daze EP features newly‐shared single “Lost Boys and Girls Club”. It was directed by Cody Critcheloe of SSION. That's the cover art, above. Check out the tracklist below. Other singles include “Are You Okay” and “Rimbaud Eyes”. Too True was made in a New York apartment and two locations in Hollywood—East West Studios and the Chateau Marmont. It was produced by Richard Gottehrer (Blondie, the Go‐Go's) and the Raveonettes' Sune Rose Wagner, who both also worked with Dum Dum Girls on Only in Dreams and the He Gets Me High EP. In a press release, front woman and songwriter Dee Dee described her inspirations for the album. She mentioned the 1996 letter Nick Cave wrote to MTV, in which he resists being nominated for an award. She also wrote, “Do you hear Suede? Siouxie? Cold‐wave Patti? Madonna? Cure? Velvet and Paisley Undergrounds? Stone Roses? Cuz I did.” In the statement, Dee Dee also discussed vocal troubles she encountered during recording, a result of touring, which gave her more time to fine‐tune her writing.
