From the towering cliffs to the miles of deserted sand, all you’ll need is a towel and some sunnies and you’ll be set for the day. ITINERARY Day 1: Sydney Departure Today you will make you own way to Sydney and check in to your cruise aboard the Carnival Legend! Day 2 – 3: At Sea (B, L, D) Take this time to settle into your new cabin and get your bearings onboard the ship. With a huge range of activities, restaurants, bars and relaxation areas, you could spend this whole two days just exploring and taking it all in! Day 4: Mare (B, L, D) Today the ship docks in Mare, New Caledonia, and you will get the first taste of the otherworldly paradise that awaits you on this trip. Mare is true untouched beauty, with ever-warm turquoise waters, forest shrouded cliff edges and pristine white sands. This isn’t the place for hustle and bustle. Just grab yourself a towel, chuck your sunnies on and enjoy the view. Day 5: At Sea (B, L, D) Feeling nice and relaxed? Why not take it to the next level with a treatment at the onboard Day Spa. We recommend a soothing massage followed by a stint of acupuncture to help you get zen for your holiday to come. Day 6: Suva (B, L, D) Today the ship ports in Suva, the capital of Fiji. Although densely populated, suva is a lush green expanse nestled on the peninsula, and has an awesome youth culture and buzzing vibe. Day 8: Cross the International Date Line (B, L, D) Today you will experience something truly special as you cross over the International Date Line. Although it isn’t something you can see or feel, this line marks the 180 degree Meridian line of the Earth. It runs from the north pole to the south pole and demarcates the change of one calendar day to the next. So as you cross the line, you’ll be in yesterday! Your own personal time travel adventure! Day 9: At Sea (B, L, D) Those feeling more active today can take advantage of the amazing onboard facilities. Why not start the morning off with a fitness class, or a session at the state of the art fitness centre? Those a little more culturally minded can enjoy an art exhibition, and even a cooking demonstration. Day 10: Papeete (B, L, D) Today the ship docks in Papeete, Tahiti. Papeete is the administrative capital of French Polynesia, and a hub for waterfront bars and restaurants.
