The film takes us back in time to Mike (voiced by Billy Crystal) and Sully's (voiced by John Goodman) college days. But to the fans' surprise, the pair didn't exactly hit it off at first. They may be the ultimate team now, but as freshmen the two lovable monsters just didn't gel. While Mike has grown up dreaming of a career in scaring children and works hard to get the necessary degree to land his dream job, Sully seemingly cruises along on his family name. But the film shows us how, over time, they learn that two monsters are better than one. After being thrown together in the same Oozma Kappa fraternity, the pair eventually start to work together as a team. The rest, as they say, is history. With stunning animation and an appearance from Dame Helen Mirren (who lends her voice to the character of Dean Hardscrabble), Monsters University is a visually stunning film and a charming tale of friendship and fulfilling your dreams. If you enjoyed Monsters, Inc you'll love Monsters University. The Blue Umbrella Pixar fans can also expect to enjoy an added treat: a short six-minute film called the Blue Umbrella that's received excellent reviews from the critics. Directed by German animator Saschka Unseld, The Blue Umbrella follows two umbrellas as they get caught in the middle of a storm in New York and showcases Pixar's famously cutting edge animation. Monsters University is available on DVD, Blu-ray DVD and 3D Blu-ray DVD from the 11th of November 2013.
