Surprisingly fast and mobile, the Crusader could reach speeds up to 26 mph (42 km/h) on-road and 15 mph (24 km/h) off-road. Its light armour made it especially vulnerable to anti-tank weapons. Despite this limitation, the Crusader could hold its own against German Panzers in the North African desert, especially when multiple tanks were deployed.
