Tamiya: 1/35 Russian Army Assault Infantry – Model Kit During World War II, the Russian Armed Forces consisted of five main elements; the Ground Forces, Navy, Air Force, National Air Defense and Armed Forces Support. The Ground Forces represented about 80 percent of the total manpower, being the largest in strength. It had approximately 5,300,000 military effectives at the outbreak of the Russo-German War in June 1941. Features: This is a 1/35 scale plastic assembly model set of a Russian Army Assault Infantry unit which protected Mother Russia against the invading German forces during WWII. This set includes 12 figures in different poses such as a commander pointing and giving instructions, as well as soldiers shooting from up above and jumping off a tank. Uniforms depict those worn at the Kursk front from 1943 through to the end of the war. The PPsh-41 submachine gun also known as the “Mandolin” and the Degtyaryov light machine gun both feature a sharp finish.
