Annie's Lane - Riesling

The Annie's Lane Riesling from the Clare Valley, South Australia is pale straw in colour with green hues. The nose shows the classic, elegant characters of Clare Valley Riesling: dried lime rind; citrus; and stone fruit. The palate is tight and elegant, with lime flavours dominating throughout. Impressive length and natural acidity will allow for graceful aging. 'The vintage is a cracker for Clare Valley riesling, and outstanding examples don't always cost a lot. More savoury on the nose than many, Annie's Lane has aromas of apple, lime, bath salts and minerals that add up to beautifully pure varietal intensity. The palate has a good level of richness and plenty of depth, yet it retains balance, vibrancy and zest.
