Prior to making art, she worked with teams to design and build Mailbox's iPhone app, redesign Uber's iPhone app, and scale the storytelling platform Medium. Before startups, Elle spent five years at IDEO (ideo.com), where she worked across a variety of industries to develop multichannel, holistic experiences with massive impact. Elle has presented versions of her The Crossroads of Should and Must talk over the last year to 150 design leaders and CEOs at IDEO, 250 women designers at GitHub, 400 designers and engineers at Yelp's HQ, and over 500 design professionals at the Moxie conference in Chicago. Elle is currently preparing for her summer/fall speaking tour, which will take her to Wales, Amsterdam, Brooklyn, and San Francisco. She lives and works in San Francisco.
