Author BiographyDavid Melling became a freelance illustrator in 1986. In 1993 he illustrated his first children's book. In 2002, he wrote and illustrated his own picture book, The Kiss That Missed, which was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal. To date he has illustrated over 60 books, writing around 15 of them.
