Fresh off a broadcast exclusive sneak peek during the MTV Video Music Awards of her ‘Sit Still, Look Pretty’music video during her VMA-themed Geico commercial, breakout pop musician Daya has announced her debut full-length album “Sit Still, Look Pretty”. “Sit Still, Look Pretty” caps off a banner breakout year for the 17-year-old Pittsburgh native, who recorded the album in Los Angeles. Executive Produced by Gino “Farrago” Barletta, Daya has cited the album as a continuation of her hit debut EP ‘Daya’, released in September 2015; the record will include the entire EP along with eight new tracks. “I have been working tirelessly on this record for almost a year now. It’s the most authentic representation of me as an artist so far, and each song carries a piece of me,” says Daya. “I’m so grateful for all the support I’ve received over the past year and it still feels surreal to be releasing my first album. I am so stoked for the world to finally hear it!!”. In addition to being nominated for her first ever MTV VMA for Best Electronic Video, Daya partnered with the Release Issue: 40/16 network for various programming ahead of their famed awards show. She served as a co-host of MTV’s 4th annual VMA Brunch alongside All Time Low, Laura Marano & Parris Goebel, discussing their favorite VMA moments ahead of the ceremony. Daya is currently on the road, having spent nearly every day this year touring. On Sunday, she concluded her first ever Canadian tour which took her through seven cities.
