My Christmas

2015 holiday release. With My Christmas, world-renowned opera star Plácido Domingo releases a personal Christmas album with songs dear to his heart to celebrate the warmth and magic of the season. Domingo invited a variety of special guests including Tony Award Winner and Disney's Frozen star, Idina Menzel, The Piano Guys, Jackie Evancho, famous German singer Helene Fischer and French tenor Vincent Niclo to perform these special Christmas songs with him. Included on the album are traditional classics such as “Silent Night” with the Piano Guys, “White Christmas,” “Hark the Herald Angels Sing,” “Feliz Navidad” and “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear.” My Christmas also features songs that capture the spirit of the season including “Guardian Angels” with Idina Menzel, “Pie Jesu” with Jackie Evancho, Bach's “Signore della luce,” and Mozart's “Ave Verum Corpus.” Plácido Domingo is a legend. One of the finest and most influential singing actors in the history of opera, he is also a conductor and a major force as an opera administrator in his role as general director of two companies: Los Angeles Opera and Washington National Opera. As a singer, Domingo's reper­toire encompasses 134 roles, a number unmatched by any other tenor in history, with more than 3,500 career performances. He has won twelve Grammy Awards and his recordings and appearances with José Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti as The Three Tenors was one of the most successful musical partnerships of all time.
