Just when you thought it was safe to come out of the house, the world’s most notorious hard rock band is back, and the story isn’t a pretty one but this time it has a happy ending. Motley Crue return with ‘Saints Of Los Angeles’, their first new album with all four original members (Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, Tommy Lee and Vince Neil) in over a decade and the 9th studio album in their career. Loosely based on the band’s autobi­ographical events with very personal lyrics, this revealing album offers tremendous insight into the lives of the rebellious leaders of the “L.A sleaze rock” movement. The band that defines the glam rock scene delivers the soundtrack to that experience inspired by their New York Times best seller and must read book ‘The Dirt’. ‘Saints Of Los Angeles’ will be released exclusively by Shock Records in New Zealand and is described by Sixx as “a tale of dirty needles, damaged minds, music industry battles and a whole lot of sex based on our stories from ‘The Dirt’” The band’s autobi­ography is currently being developed as a major motion picture. Coinciding with the release of ‘Saint Of Los Angeles’ Motley Crue announced their first annual Crue Fest 2008 tour, headlining their own version of the “Next Great American Rock Festival”. The inaugural tour will also feature Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx: A.M and Trapt. The first single from the album and title track “Saints Of Los Angeles” is going out to rock radio this week and the video delivered to TV very soon. Expect big things!
