Flames of War: Panzersturm Platoon

The FHH brigade’s two Panzersturmkom­panien (armoured assault companies) were a new concept when first formed. They merge the assault firepower of the StG44 assault rifle with the mobility and long-ranged firepower of the Sd Kfz 251 half-track. The result is ideal for an aggressive assault role. The half-tracks get the troops close, then cover them as they dismount and assault. As they are also equipped with Panzerfaust anti-tank launchers, the Sturm platoons are capable of taking on almost any threat.
