This is the 5th album from the trio. Organist Christopher Yeabsley calls ‘lifestyle’ “A return to the roots of our music”. Roots that range from the classic 'Wellington-Dub" sound, to AfroBeat by way of the Bossa-Nova and straight-ahead organ boogaloo. Recorded at Island Bay Studio for that big-room sound, and mastered by Mu “at the beach”, a feature of the disk is the included computer-animated music-video for ‘San Pedro Sula’. It's somewhat of a cliche to call a twinset album ‘perfect summer music’…but that doesn't mean it's not true! Summer music it definitely is; it's also autumn, spring and winter compatible. Paul K. Hoskin's trademark hard-hitting subtlety is on display right from the get-go. Turning it up a notch for ‘Journey to Jupiter’, then down to a swinging simmer for ‘Minor Glue’. Back when rock-n-roll and rhythmn-n-blues where blood brothers, instead of distant cousins as they are now, the weapon of choice for every bar-walking musician was the saxophone. Daniel Yeabsley here presents a potent case for a return to duty of the tenor sax, and for that matter, the soprano and alto saxophones too.
