The ‘Queen of Nu Cumbia’ aka Mariana Yegros (Las Yegros) brings a vibrant combo of rhythmic cumbia and accordion music, over a fresh selection of beats and basslines that pop, with an underlying dash of punk attitude in her striking second album, Magnetismo. Working with the same production team behind her breakout debut (King Coya and Daniel Martin) along with Oscar award-winning engineer, Anibal Kerpel, Yegros presents a fresh spin on the effervescent sound she’s become known for. A large number of collaborators appear throughout the album including Sabina Sciubba (from Brazillian Girls), Bajafono Javier Casalla, Puerto Candaleria, and Argentinian folk hero, Gustavo Santaolalla.
