Epic

Epic

Epic is a 2013 American 3D computer animated fantasy-adventure film loosely based on William Joyce's children's book The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs. FROM THE CREATORS OF ICE AGE AND RIO, Epic tells the story of an ongoing battle between the forces of good, who keep the natural world alive, and the forces of evil, who wish to destroy it. When a teenage girl finds herself magically transported into this secret universe, she teams up with an elite band of warriors and a crew of comical, larger-than-life figures, to save their world… and ours. Epic Reviews “..what it lacks in uniqueness it makes up for with its simple enjoyment factor…Epic isn't quite destined for the “Again, again!” re-watchability of some of the Pixar classics, but for a satisfying explosion of color on a lazy summer day, it does the trick.” B+, Entertainment Weekly “It may not be epic, but it’s eye-popping entertainment.” Washington Post “I have to admit since “Ice Age”, Blue Sky Studios films always interest me no matter what the topic. ”Epic” is yet another impressive animated CGI film to come out of their studio. It packs a fantastic voice cast, great visuals and high energy action…Chris Wedge, (director of “Ice Age”) is behind this film and he delivered again another fun and entertaining film..Great fun for the whole family!” Mediamikes.com “The glue that holds “Epic” together is the visuals. The story is pretty routine, but it’s the vivid colors and sense of excitement that comes with the crisp animation that makes it really work. “Epic” is a good reminder that it’s okay to rehash a familiar story in a Hollywood movie as long as it can be visually interesting and fun.” 7M Pictures
