The beginning of a new year is the perfect opportunity to have a fresh look at whiskies from the ‘new world’ countries, who continue to produce magnificent drams, further challenging the dominance of the ‘old world’ distillers. This month we present three glorious cask strength whiskies that have all been aged exclusively in ex-Bourbon barrels, allowing for a deeper exploration of flavours arising from malting, fermentation and distillation. New year, new drams!
