This 30ml bottle introduces Backwoods Tawny Cask Rye, a uniquely Australian whisky aged in Rutherglen Tawny barrels. The nose opens with vibrant dried fruit, toasted nuts, and hints of vanilla. On the palate, there’s a bold rye spiciness balanced by rich oak and subtle fruitcake-like sweetness. The Tawny cask imparts a smooth, warming finish with an undertone of dried figs and spice. A wonderfully complex whisky, it bridges the bold character of rye with the smooth richness of tawny cask maturation, offering an exceptional tasting experience.
