The Amy Custom Timber Bed Frame gives traditional timber furniture a sharper, more contemporary outline. A narrow opening runs across the top of the headboard, separating its straight top rail from the broad panel below. The long cut-out draws the eye across the bed, while square posts, straight side rails and a low footboard keep the rest of the design simple and well balanced.

Made with a solid New Zealand Pine supporting frame, Amy brings natural timber character to a sturdy everyday bed. Its substantial rails and pine slats provide support beneath the mattress, while the open space below the base prevents the straight-lined design from feeling bulky. Choose your stain, leg height and mattress fit to make Amy feel light and relaxed or give its frame a stronger presence.

Choose the right size.
Select Single, King Single, Double, Queen, King or Super King to suit your mattress. If your room calls for a different size, send us your measurements so we can quote a custom build.

Choose how the mattress meets the frame.
A 2cm sit-in mattress rests slightly down inside the base, leaving a visible timber border that gives the frame a more substantial outline. With sit-flush, the mattress edges align with the outside of the frame, creating a neat, continuous profile without the exposed border.

Set the clearance.
Choose the leg height to leave the amount of open space you want beneath the bed. Clearance is measured from the floor to the bottom of the side rails, so a taller option provides more room for cleaning underneath, while shorter legs create a lower-looking base. Select the standard height shown in the dimension drawing or customize diferent hight.

Choose your finish.
Keep the timber light and natural-looking, bring out warmer mid-tones or give the angular frame a deeper, more defined outline.

Tinted lacquer: Choose from a wide range of pine colours, including light shades, warm browns and darker stains. The lacquer adds colour and seals the surface with a smooth protective coating; black and white finishes are available at an additional cost.

Each piece of timber has its own grain and tone, so natural variations will remain visible through the finish.

Pine Construction, Practical Support

The headboard, side rails, legs and low footboard are all solid New Zealand Pine. The broad headboard combines solid timber framing with a timber panel with no veneer used, keeping Amy’s long cut-out and clean rectangular shape clearly defined.

Heavy-duty solid pine slats form the mattress foundation, with gaps between them allowing airflow underneath. The support arrangement varies with the size you choose:

• Solid pine slats: 90mm wide × 35mm thick, with approximately 70mm spacing.
