The Bandai 5063526 MG 1/100 FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam is notable for its engineering-first approach. The kit features durable joint systems, layered armour components, and deliberate part separation that support both painted schemes and out-of-box presentation.
When completed the model presents a solid, modular silhouette: armour modules hinge around a defined limb layout, giving a sense of scale without sacrificing useful articulation for posing.
Build notes and must-have tools
Complexity aligns with typical Master Grade kits, with a number of multi-piece subassemblies and occasional tight fits. Basic modelling tools like nippers, a craft knife, sanding sticks and a panel liner are sufficient for most steps.
Finishing workflow recommendations
Surface work is optional but effective to accent panel lines or close visible seams; light sanding and a primer will help paint adhere and reduce join visibility. The model responds well to selective painting and panel-lining for added detail.
