Technical Details
The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter SDI to Audio 4K is a technical marvel, capable of de-embedding four channels of analogue audio or eight channels of AES/EBU digital audio from any SDI video signal. Its 6G-SDI input, supporting resolutions as high as Ultra HD (3840x2160) and DCI 4K (4096x2160), is complemented by four 1/4" audio jacks for outputting audio to monitors or mixers. Notably, the converter retains the original SDI signal via a 6G-SDI output, preserving the input resolution and frame rate. The 6G-SDI technology employed allows for the handling of UHD and DCI 4K at up to 30 fps, whilst also supporting SD, HD, and 3G-SDI signals with automatic format detection. The inclusion of a redundant SDI input guarantees uninterrupted operation, even if the primary signal is lost.
