The Brooklyn Custom Timber Bed Frame uses a distinctive angled profile to give solid pine a more sculptural shape. Its headboard has an open horizontal cut-out above the broad timber panel, while the sloping supports and shaped foot end introduce movement into the frame. Open space beneath the bed keeps those substantial timber sections visually light, making the outline as much a feature as the grain.

Crafted entirely from solid New Zealand Pine, Brooklyn combines expressive furniture design with a practical, sturdy sleeping base. Thick pine slats support the mattress within the frame, and the open under-bed area remains accessible for cleaning or suitable storage. The timber’s natural markings soften the precise lines, with your choice of stain allowing the curved and angled details to read gently or stand out with greater contrast.

Consider the profile.
The mattress sits inside Brooklyn’s frame, with the shaped foot end and angled supports remaining visible around it. If you need a different base height or mattress fit, our team can advise on a custom configuration that works with this design.

Choose your finish.
Choose a light finish to follow the grain through Brooklyn’s shaped supports, or a darker stain to draw attention to its sloping profile and open sections.

Tinted lacquer: Choose from a wide range of pine colours, from light, natural-looking shades to warm browns and deeper tones. The lacquer colours and seals the timber with a smooth protective coating; black and white finishes are available at an additional cost.

Natural knots, grain patterns and differences in tone are part of solid pine’s character. The same stain can show subtle variations across the headboard, rails and foot end.

Sculptural Outside, Substantial Underneath

Brooklyn is made entirely from solid New Zealand Pine, including the headboard, footboard, side rails, legs and structural frame. The pine headboard is solid timber, with no veneer panels, giving the bed consistent material quality throughout.

Heavy-duty solid pine slats form a firm supporting base, with gaps for airflow beneath the mattress. The support system is matched to the bed size:

• Slat dimensions: 90mm wide × 35mm thick, with approximately 70mm between slats.
• Single and Double: 11 solid pine slats, without centre support as standard.
• King Single: 12 solid pine slats, without centre support as standard.
• Queen: 12 solid pine slats with centre support beneath them.
• King and Super King: 12 solid pine slats with centre support and two additional support legs reaching the floor.
