Campion - The Complete Collection

Charming, unconventional amateur sleuth Albert Campion has a talent for solving impossible crimes. That means he's forever in demand with the rich and poor, the famous and outrageously eccentric...and even the authorities. Once Campion's on the scene, the most straightforward case has a habit of escalating into a series of unexpected happenings. With a passion for excitement and danger, the intrepid detective frequently finds himself on the brink of death. But with wit, charm and a deceptive naivety, he ingeniously confounds his enemies - just when they least expect it. Always near at hand to help unravel the mystery and ensure justice is done are Campion's loyal but disrespectful manservant Magersfontein Lugg (an ex-criminal himself) and close friend Inspector Stanislaus Oates. Set in the 1930s and based on Margery Allingham's best-selling crime novels, the stylish production captures the mood of the period in design, dress and setting; Campion's car, a vintage Lagonda, was purchased especially for the series. Shot entirely on location in London and the many splendid mansions and country houses in Suffolk, England.
