The Feelies' debut release Crazy Rhythms is a masterpiece of perfectly honed minimalist rock that leaps and darts into the corners of the listener’s consciousness. It is a true sonic tour de force that Rolling Stone deemed one of the 100 Best Albums of the 1980s.
Originally released at the start of a new decade, Crazy Rhythms (1980) reconfigured the Downtown sounds of Manhattan towards Hoboken and took them out on an exhilarating road trip. In such fast-moving times, the band's second LP The Good Earth (1986) felt as though it saw the light of day in another era; a little woodier and fuzzier, it is equally as beguiling as its predecessor.
