Overview

The E-flite Eratix 3D SWS (Sport Wood Series) 1.6m is the larger, wood-construction evolution of the popular Eratix foamy model. It was designed to provide the crisp flight characteristics of a balsa and plywood airframe, combined with a level of convenience not typically found in models of this class. The Bind-N-Fly Basic version is a standout, offering a fast, bolt-together assembly that requires no glue. It comes out of the box with a high-quality selection of factory-installed components, including a powerful 6S-compatible Spektrum Avian power system, four high-voltage digital metal-geared servos, and a factory-installed AR637TA+ receiver. This receiver provides the stability of enhanced AS3X+ technology along with optional-use SAFE Select flight envelope protection.

This Eratix is designed for a wide performance range, capable of both smooth sport flying and high-energy 3D manoeuvres, which can be further augmented using the included Side Force Generators (SFGs). The quality of the airframe is apparent, with genuine UltraCote film covering and practical features like a tool-free, two-piece wing for easy transport and a large top hatch for battery access. The 100-amp Spektrum Avian Smart ESC delivers real-time telemetry data, such as battery voltage and motor RPM, and offers optional-use motor reversing for special ground handling. It's an excellent choice for an intermediate pilot's first wood model or a highly capable everyday sport and 3D aeroplane for experienced enthusiasts.
