Frankie And Johnny Are Married (Original Soundtrack)

Frankie and Johnny Are Married presents the premiere release of veteran composer Don Peake's original score for the 2003 independent comedy-drama written and directed by Michael Pressman. The film follows a television producer's often humorous and sometimes painful efforts to stage Terrence McNally's acclaimed play Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune while navigating the equally complicated realities of his own marriage. Starring Michael Pressman, Lisa Chess, Alan Rosenberg, and Stephen Tobolowsky, the film inspired one of Peake's most charming and intimate musical works.

Anchored by an expressive jazz ensemble featuring Don Peake on guitar alongside celebrated musicians Brian Bromberg, Plas Johnson, Michael Melvoin, Steven Hufsteter, and Mike Stephans, the score combines sophisticated jazz textures, lyrical melodies, and playful character-driven themes that perfectly capture the film's blend of romance, comedy, and theatrical chaos. Long unavailable outside the film itself, these original recordings have been mastered from the original recording elements for optimal sound quality.
