High, Lonesome, And Then Some (Sea Glass Vinyl)

Imagine you're driving down a rural two-lane road somewhere in the South, and you come upon a little beer joint. You pull over and go inside where there's a band -- three guitars bass and drums and a couple of female backing vocalists -- playing some dirt road blues.

The mood is loose, the band is tight and the lead singer has a voice that sounds like he's spent a lot of time traveling up and-down dirt roads living and singing the blues. That's the sound of High, Lonesome, and Then Some, Todd Snider's 15th studio album.
