About this product
In a drought-stricken regional town, best friends Georgina and Pauline seize the chance to create a TV show celebrating life in the bush, aiming to infuse it with vibrancy rather than dwelling on despair. When their idea is rejected by a city executive, they take matters into their own hands, staging a ‘shed show’ called ‘Stories from the Sticks.’ Despite facing setbacks, with support from the community and a renewed sense of purpose, they discover and share the real stories of rural life. Through their journey, “Homespun” explores themes around hope, connection to the land, and the resilience of those who call the bush home, honouring its enduring beauty.
