About this product
Murder, sex and mayhem fill 1972 Shaw Brothers classic Intimate Confessions of a Chinese Courtesan, and its 1984 reimagining Lust For Love of a Chinese Courtesan, coming to Blu-ray for the first time worldwide in this set.
Director Chor Yuen was behind both versions of the powerful story, following the abduction of a young girl, sold into prostitution and entangled in a cruel world of desire and betrayal.
Combining lavish martial arts choreography with explicit, boundary-pushing scenes, these films remain striking examples of Shaw Brothers’ high-calibre Wuxia catalogue.
