About this product
The Lonely Trail (1936)
A veteran Union officer, John Ashley returns home from the war only to find that his presence is unwanted by his former neighbors, who had all sided with the Confederacy. Seedy carpetbagger, Benedict Holden and his army of thugs have taken control of the town. Although initially duped by Holden, Ashley realizes that Holden is killing, stealing, and taxing the local ranchers out of their property under the pretence of state authority without the knowledge of the governor.
The Quiet Man (1952)
Director John Ford’s Oscar-winning rouser stars John Wayne as Irish-born, American-raised ex-boxer Sean Thornton. Returning to Ireland to claim his family’s estate, Sean falls for and weds feisty village beauty Mary Kate Danaher. But after he’s branded a coward for refusing to fight her ruffian brother Red for her dowry, Sean finally relents and takes on Red in a classic screen brawl. With Barry Fitzgerald, Mildred Natwick, Ward Bond.
