• Apochromatic Optical Performance
• Versatile 180mm Focal Length
• Compact and Intuitive Design
• Manual Focus for Canon RF

The Venus Optics Laowa 180mm f/4.5 1.5x Ultra-Macro APO combines a long-reach telephoto field of view with greater-than-life-size macro capability. This distinctive design makes it ideal for capturing intricate details from both close-up perspectives and longer shooting distances.

1.5x Ultra-Macro Magnification

Engineered primarily as a macro lens, this telephoto delivers an impressive 1.5:1 maximum magnification, allowing subjects to be rendered larger than life-size. A minimum focusing distance of 30 centimetres and a minimum working distance of 14.7 centimetres provide additional space for lighting and make it easier to photograph moving subjects.

Apochromatic Optical Performance

To support its high magnification capabilities, the lens features an apochromatic optical design that effectively reduces colour fringing. This ensures excellent clarity, accurate colour reproduction, and fine detail when shooting at both close-up and longer focusing distances.

Versatile 180mm Focal Length

The 180mm focal length provides a narrow field of view that is well suited to portraits, distant subjects, and isolating fine details from a comfortable working distance. Its f/4.5 maximum aperture balances brightness and portability, offering enough light for handheld shooting in daylight while remaining easy to carry for travel.

Compact and Intuitive Design

Despite its advanced optical performance, the lens remains surprisingly compact and lightweight, weighing just over half a kilogram and measuring approximately 13.5 centimetres in length. An assignable lens function button allows quick access to exposure or camera controls, and an integrated USB-C port enables convenient firmware updates.

Manual Focus for Canon RF

This Canon RF version of the lens is manual focus only, giving photographers precise control when working at high magnifications. It is compatible with an optional lens support, which adds extra rigidity and stability when critical sharpness is required during ultra-macro shooting.
