The broad solid timber border catches the light around the panel, drawing attention to the grain and the crisp join between its surfaces. The footboard repeats this framed detail at a lower height, with wide rectangular legs and straight side rails giving the whole bed a substantial, balanced outline.

Victorian Ash Oak brings warmth and strength to the supporting frame, while solid pine slats form the foundation beneath the mattress. There is a pleasing contrast between the generous timber sections and the open space below the base: Larissa has the presence of traditional timber furniture, with the clean proportions of a contemporary bed. Your choice of finish and under-bed clearance lets you emphasise its lighter or more grounded side.

Choose the space beneath your bed.
Select 5cm, 10cm, 15cm, 20cm, 25cm, 30cm or 35cm clearance. This is the open space from the floor to the bottom of the side rails, determined by the exposed leg height. Shorter legs give Larissa a lower stance; taller options provide more room to reach underneath for cleaning or to accommodate suitable storage boxes. The 25cm, 30cm and 35cm options carry an additional charge.

Choose your finish.
A pale finish softens the contrast between the recessed panel and its border, while a deeper shade gives the straight-edged frame a more pronounced outline.

Tinted lacquer: Choose from a wide range of oak colours to bring out the grain while sealing the surface with a smooth protective coating. Light shades reveal gentle variations in tone, while richer browns give the recessed detailing more definition; black and white are available at an additional cost.

Livos Kunos natural oil: Upgrade to Livos Kunos Natural Oil Sealer, made with natural oils including linseed oil. It deepens the timber’s colour and grain while forming a transparent, chemical-free protective finish.

Individual grain patterns and natural differences in tone make every oak frame slightly different, including when the same stain is selected.

Solid Oak Framing, Substantial Support

A timber veneer headboard panel sits within a solid Victorian Ash Oak border, pairing an uninterrupted sweep of grain with a clearly defined surround. The side rails, legs and low footboard are also solid Victorian Ash Oak, carrying the substantial timber construction through the rest of the frame.

Heavy-duty solid pine slats support the mattress, with regular gaps allowing airflow beneath it. Larger sizes include additional reinforcement:

• Solid pine slats: 90mm wide × 35mm thick, with approximately 70mm between slats.
• Single and Double: 11 slats, without centre support as standard.
