Made In The Dark (Reissue)

Hot Chip present the reissue of The Warning, Made In The Dark and One Life Stand, their second, third and fourth albums. These seminal releases are being reissued this year for the first time and together, map out the evolution of one of the UK’s most dynamic and vital electronic bands. They are proof positive of Joe Goddard, Alexis Taylor, Owen Clarke, Al Doyle and Felix Martin’s lifelong friendship and musical chemistry, as well as of their youthful studio adventuring.

They are the sound of a band fusing all of their myriad influences into a leftfield electro-pop bricolage, and of joyful dance renegades who pull off the trick of making end-of-the-night anthems with proper heart and soul. Taken together, these albums are also manifestos for refusing conformity, doing the unexpected, and how to be enduring outliers colouring in the edges of great British music.
