About this product
With 'Open Up Your Senses', Tyreek McDole makes a bold statement as one of the most compelling young jazz vocalists of his generation. A rich baritone with a deep connection to the jazz tradition, McDole draws inspiration from legendary predecessors like Johnny Hartman and Leon Thomas while carving out a distinctly original voice. His collaboration with exceptional musicians - including pianists Kenny Barron and Sullivan Fortner - brings an adventurous spirit to the album, blending classic jazz influences with innovative harmonies.
From his striking interpretation of Thelonious Monk's 'Ugly Beauty' to the powerful chant-like resonance of 'The Creator Has A Master Plan', Tyreek McDole delivers a deeply expressive an contemporary musical experience that urges listeners to engage, reflect and truly open up their senses.
