Pentax O-GPS2 GPS Hotshoe Unit - 16x | Medium (11x-18x) | AAA - Scoped Out

Product Overview

The Pentax O-GPS2 GPS Hotshoe Unit is built for shooters who actually get out there and put their gear to work. Clip it onto a compatible Pentax DSLR and you instantly add precise location data – latitude, longitude, altitude, UTC time and shooting direction – straight into your image files. That means no more guessing where that cracking landscape or dark-sky spot was taken, and sorting your shots after a big trip becomes dead simple.

Where it really earns its keep is under the stars. Coupled with the camera’s SR system, the O-GPS2 unlocks ASTROTRACER, shifting the sensor to match the movement of celestial bodies so you can run longer exposures without turning stars into blurry trails. Add Simple Navigation to walk straight back to that remote vantage point, and an electronic compass that keeps you oriented even in the scrub, plus weather‑resistant construction and an independent AAA battery power source, and you’ve got a compact, field-ready GPS tool that’s genuinely useful for Aussie photographers who spend more time outside than in the studio.
