The Phanteks EX5 is a mid-tower chassis that reimagines traditional PC layouts through an innovative compartmentalised architecture. Moving away from the conventional boxy 'fish tank' design, this case isolates the CPU, GPU, PSU, and motherboard into dedicated chambers, ensuring each critical component draws directly from fresh, un-recirculated ambient air. There is no compromise on thermal efficiency, the EX5 features a pre-installed 120mm S25 fan positioned behind the motherboard to actively cool the VRM and RAM, cleverly creating a thermal 'air curtain' that prevents radiant heat from the graphics card from bleeding into the main compartment. Designed to accommodate modern, high-performance hardware, the EX5 supports ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards, alongside massive graphics cards up to 358mm in length and up to 4.6 slots thick depending on your motherboard's PCIe layout. To safeguard your components, it includes an integrated server-grade GPU support bracket that securely stabilises heavy cards, even during transportation. Acting as a flexible builder's canvas, the chassis provides dedicated space for a 360mm side mounted liquid cooling radiator of your choice, while generous 40mm cable management spacing ensures a meticulously clean interior. Complete with high-speed 20 Gbps USB Type-C front panel connectivity, a tempered glass side window to showcase your build, and integrated ARGB exterior lighting strips, the Phanteks EX5 an exceptionally cool and visually striking choice for your next custom PC.
Features
Phanteks EX5 Mid Tower DRGB Case Satin Black
Defined By Form. Driven By Flow. Divided For Precision.
The EX5 is a new innovation in PC chassis designed that features a compartmentalised architecture, delivering distinctive aesthetics with purposeful airflow. The layout organises key components into dedicated chambers, ensuring each chamber receives a direct flow of fresh air.
The EX5 moves away from the traditional boxy, ‘fish tank’ look and presents a bold, creative way to showcase a PC build. The unique layout optimises cooling efficiency by directing fresh air precisely where it’s needed and expelling heat more effectively. This effective airflow design reduces reliance on excessive fan setups, allowing builders to achieve excellent thermals with fewer fans. It’s built for high-performance hardware, easily accommodating large GPUs and a dedicated 360mm radiator. The strategically placed S25-120 fan behind the motherboard effectively cools the VRM and RAM, while also directing heat from the GPU away from key components to maintain optimal temperatures. The EX5 combines generous interior space with intuitive cable management for a clean, effortless setup. To complete the sophisticated aesthetic, vibrant ARGB lighting wraps around the chassis for a clean, modern finish. Synchronised via the Nexlinq app or your motherboard, the EX5 offers a polished, efficient build that stays as cool as it looks.
The EX5 combines an innovative layout with form-fitting panels, integrated lighting, and high-quality materials to create a standout centrepiece for any premium desk setup.

Compartmentalised Thermal Design
Unlike traditional towers where the heat from a 300W+ graphics card rises directly into the CPU cooler, the EX5 splits major hardware into dedicated, isolated zones.
Isolated Fresh Air Intake: The CPU, GPU, and PSU each occupy independent physical chambers. Each component draws cold, un-recirculated ambient air directly from the outside.
Efficient Thermal Performance
Standard glass box cases suffer from massive internal air pockets, forcing users to buy 7 to 10 case fans to direct airflow. The EX5’s design inherently solves this problem.

The “Air Curtain” Effect: A strategic rear motherboard fan channels a continuous flow of air explicitly over critical motherboard components, directly cooling the VRMs, system RAM, and M.2 storage. More importantly, this directed airflow acts as an invisible thermal barrier, actively blocking radiant heat from the GPU from bleeding back onto the motherboard compartments.
Acoustic and Thermal Balance: The physical design of the case handles the cooling naturally, giving you excellent thermal efficiency without needing a wall of noisy, expensive extra fans.

Server-Grade GPU Support Bracket
Included is a built-in, highly stable GPU support bracket with multi-screw anchoring to prevent sag and secure the graphics card firmly, even during system transport.

Integrated Lighting
The Phanteks EX5 chassis features smooth, diffuse integrated ARGB lighting running from top to bottom, with targeted accent strips highlighting the PSU cover for a sleek, cohesive look. Designed for maximum ease of use and broad ecosystem compatibility, the ARGB lighting connects seamlessly to an ARGB-equipped motherboard or a Phanteks controller, while advanced customisation and expanded lighting control can be unlocked using the optional NexLinq Hub (sold separately).
