From a Spanish Family Winery Since 1850Pure Zero is made by Bodegas Fernando Castro, a family-owned Spanish winery with roots dating back to 1850. Based in Castilla-La Manchas Valdepeñas region, the winery works with 380 hectares of family-supervised vineyards and combines generations of traditional winemaking with modern production and RampD. Its portfolio now includes alcohol-free wines, bringing that long-standing Spanish wine heritage into a modern alcohol-free format.
About Wine
A Spanish alcohol-free red made from Tempranillo and Syrah grapes from Castile, fermented as a full red before being gently dealcoholised. Pure Zero Red has the character of a young Tempranillo, with ripe plum, blackberry and wild berry aromas leading into a juicy palate of strawberry, raspberry and smooth blackcurrant.
Its a medium-bodied red with pleasant acidity, soft silky tannins and a long, spiced finish. Notes of clove and a touch of vanilla add extra depth, while the deep cherry-red colour retains the visual character of a traditional red wine.
At less than 0.5 ABV, its an easy option when you want the flavour and structure of red wine without the alcohol.
Pure Zero Red was awarded an IWSC Bronze in 2026.
Tasting Notes
Aroma Black plum and wild berry, with ripe plum and blackberry alongside subtle clove and oak.
Palate Juicy strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant with pleasant acidity and a fine, silky tannin structure.
Colour Deep cherry-red with a violet rim.
Finish Long and spiced, with lingering clove and a trace of vanilla.
