Rarities (Reissue Edition)

Rarities is a genuine treasure for fans with a rediscovered and newly remastered collection of recordings drawn from the vault. Featuring B-sides, demos, live recordings, soundtrack contributions and long-lost singles, this release reveals the depth of Jon English’s artistry. It’s raw, spontaneous and thrilling — a glimpse behind the curtain of a performer who never did anything by halves.

Jonathan English; Jon’s son says of the collection, “Growing up, I didn’t just hear these songs — I lived with them. They were part of the soundtrack of our home, drifting down hallways late at night, echoing from studio speakers, or being worked and reworked at the kitchen table. To most people, my dad was Jon English — a performer, songwriter, and storyteller whose voice helped define an era. To me, he was simply Dad… endlessly curious, fiercely passionate, and always chasing the next melody. Listening now, what strikes me most is how timeless his spirit feels. Whether it’s the swagger of an early demo, a heartfelt duet, or a roaring live medley, every track carries that unmistakable Jon English energy - bold, melodic, and full of heart. These recordings capture not just a performer at work, but a man who loved music deeply and never stopped exploring what it could say.”
