Overview

The Hermann Marwede is the largest sea rescue cruiser in the fleet of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS). Commissioned in 2003, it operates in the unforgiving waters of the North Sea, undertaking hundreds of missions to aid those in peril on the world's busiest shipping lanes. This impressive vessel is a testament to the life-saving work of the DGzRS, an organisation funded entirely by donations since 1865.

This 1/200 scale model kit from Revell is a masterful replica of this modern special-purpose ship. It offers a challenging and rewarding experience, featuring a two-part hull with bow thrusters, an all-round railing, and a detailed deck superstructure with an authentic radar mast. This kit is a perfect tribute to the ship itself and the heroic work of its volunteer crews on the North and Baltic Seas.
