Schoolhouse Wines honours the rich history of Coonawarra through wines that reflect the regions exceptional terroir. Named after the original Comaum School, which once stood beside the estate vineyard, the Headmaster range celebrates this local heritage while showcasing the elegance and structure for which Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is renowned.

Region amp Vintage Conditions

The 2020 vintage is crafted from estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon in Coonawarra, a region famed for its distinctive terra rossa soils over limestone. The cool maritime climate and long ripening season encouraged excellent flavour development, resulting in a wine with concentrated dark fruit, refined tannins and classic regional character.

Winemaking Techniques

The wine was fermented under controlled conditions before maturation in oak, allowing the vibrant fruit and subtle barrel influence to integrate harmoniously. This approach enhances texture and complexity while preserving the purity and elegance of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon.
