On their debut LP Shawcross, Melbourne’s Good Morning (Liam Parsons & Stefan Blair) dabble with sincerity, intimacy and tenderness throughout. The record features notes of longing and matches it with nostalgic instrumentation, spurring a melancholic aura through melody & their striking lyricism.
Their first official release under the Good Morning guise, Shawcross is a record that will make you long for something you once or wish you once had. With it’s discerning and thoughtful melodies & songwriting, it creates a trance that will warp you into a reality you were once in as a youth.
Liam & Stefan met in high school & have been writing songs ever since. Shawcross is a collection of 7 songs spanning 17 minutes, and features some delectable standouts such as it’s sun-dappled, loose, elegiac indie-pop across the yearning 'Warned You', 'Don't Come Home Today' and 'Once You Know'
Shawcross is filled with depth, bliss, nostalgia and melancholy and is a record that listeners will find themselves (perhaps unknowingly) listening to on repeat, & will leave a lasting impression after each listen.
