Offering Super Multi-Layer Coating, this feature has been applied to lens elements in order to reduce lens flare and ghost effects and contribute to producing contrast-rich and colour-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions. This lens also sports an Integrated Hypersonic Motor (HSM) that realizes quick and quiet autofocusing, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to achieve smoother focusing performance. The Hypersonic Motor allows full-time manual focus control simply by rotating the focus ring at any given moment.
